📚✨ It’s Read Across America Week! 🎉 From March 3-7, our staff is sharing their all-time favorite books!
First up: Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein, chosen by Mrs. Katie Smith!
📖 "I liked it because it had a lot of neat, different poems that were engaging and entertaining for me at that age—which I think can be hard for kids to enjoy. The poems felt like stories, and the drawings were neat too!"
Mrs. Moes' favorites:
📚 Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr.
"I love that this book can get kids excited about letters! I read this book to my kindergarten classes every year, and students just loved it!"
🐛 The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
"This was my absolute favorite book as a young child. I checked it out from the library so often that they had to order a second copy for other people!"
🌈 The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister
"I love the message of this story! Friendships, being kind to others, and sharing happiness among your family and friends is what matters most!"
And last but not least for this edition of Staff Picks…
🔥 The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton, chosen by Mr. Kirk Hamm.
"Good storyline. Dealt with life as a teenager and growing up."
