Parents: Due to the updated NWS forecasts bringing in the weather earlier than anticipated, Wausa schools will be let out at 12:00 PM (noon) to get kids home ahead of the weather. There will be no after-school Activities, and no pep rally. Thanks Everyone, stay safe.

The Boys Basketball District Final game will be moved to Wednesday Evening, time TBD. We will allow HS practices until 2:00 pm.

Parents/Patrons: Parents/Patrons: Wausa Schools will have a pep rally for the boys basketball team at 2:20 PM in the gym tomorrow. We will let school out early tomorrow at 2:50 PM, Elementary, 2:55 Junior/Senior high school for the Sub District basketball game. Also, due to the potential for bad weather, a decision will be made on potential postponement of the game at noon tomorrow. Good Luck Boys!

📚✨ It’s Read Across America Week! 🎉 From March 3-7, our staff is sharing their all-time favorite books! First up: Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein, chosen by Mrs. Katie Smith! 📖 "I liked it because it had a lot of neat, different poems that were engaging and entertaining for me at that age—which I think can be hard for kids to enjoy. The poems felt like stories, and the drawings were neat too!" Mrs. Moes' favorites: 📚 Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. "I love that this book can get kids excited about letters! I read this book to my kindergarten classes every year, and students just loved it!" 🐛 The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle "This was my absolute favorite book as a young child. I checked it out from the library so often that they had to order a second copy for other people!" 🌈 The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister "I love the message of this story! CONFIRMED! The Wausa Boys' Basketball team will play in the D2-2 District Final against Sandhills-Thedford on Tuesday, March 4th, at 6:30 PM, at Albion/Boone Central HS in Albion, NE. We will also run alternate bus routes that day. Good Luck, Boys!

Parents/Patrons, Due to the Extreme Cold for the next several days, Wausa Public Schools will have a 10AM Late Start on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week. There will be no breakfast, and No AM Preschool on these days. Stay Warm Everyone!

Strawberries are coming. If you ordered from the Junior class, they are scheduled to arrive Tuesday Feb. 18. around 10:00am. If you are able to pick them up, please go to the office and ask for Mrs. Baue or Mrs. McFarland. Thank you everyone who bought them!
